I have lived in the heart of Powick since 1988 and have been a Parish Councillor since 1997 and Chairman for over 20 years. A retired School Inspector with a keen interest in most things sporting, I enjoy travelling, reading and socialising and meeting people.
We are very lucky to live and work in a beautiful and interesting part of the country and I am keen to preserve the quality environment we occupy whilst also ensuring that we respond to the demands of modern living. It is the duty of the Parish Council, the tier of local government closest to local residents, to try to understand those issues that are important to locals and interpret how practical considerations can shape how our parish looks and feels on a daily basis. On a personal level, I have always felt very welcome in the parish since arriving here , and I would wish to do all I can to make others feel the same.
