Born in London and brought up in rural Staffordshire as the offspring of a country vicar, I have first -hand experience of being closely involved in both small rural and city communities. I came to Worcester in 1978 ostensibly to work for 6 months only before chasing the dream of a job in London. Somehow Worcester got under my skin and I’ve been here ever since!
Kevin and I moved to Powick in 1992 enjoying the social benefits of living in the welcoming community and taking full advantage of the amazing open spaces we have in the area to walk our beloved dogs. However, working in a variety of demanding retail management roles in Worcester and also regionally, it was only recently that I have had the time to commit to supporting the parish in a constructive manner.
I was co-opted onto the Parish Council in 2019 and in the summer of 2021 took over the chairmanship of the parish council planning committee. I am also lead Councillor for the Neighbourhood Development Plan.
